Ici ce qui est rendu visible par la peinture c’est l’absence de parole qui sépare les êtres.

Even though there is no story told here, there is an expectation suspended among these men and women; expectation of something to be said. These couples seem to be a contradiction of the Annunciation, during which the invisible word passed from the angel to the virgin. What is clearly visible through these paintings is the absence of the word, which separates people.
